RUNNING FOR BEETHOVEN
The Running for Beethoven race is back for the third time Saturday June 15, 2024 at 14.00! The concept can be found in various forms in several locations. With the goal of running the distance faster than Beethoven's fifth, crossing the finish line as close as possible to the final notes of the fifth, or winning the prize for best costume, runners around the world have participated in this race. Now that we are organizing the race for the third time, we are sure to offer a unique concert-motion experience! Along a 2.5 km long running loop in the beautiful surroundings of Ytterjärna Kulturhus, a live performance of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, better known as the Fate Symphony, will be broadcast live via loudspeakers. The original challenge is 5 kilometers, but the race also has a walking and a running category (2.5 km and 7.5 km respectively). An audience interested in culture can simultaneously take part in the event in the concert hall, where images from the running course are also broadcast live. The race starts inside the concert hall and all runners pass the orchestra and the audience at the start.
