Dutch-Israeli composer Karmit Fadael grew up in a small town in the north of the Netherlands. She became fascinated with the violin at an early age and as a teenager began to develop an interest in composition, which she later devoted herself to. Now she composes for all kinds of ensembles and receives commissions from the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Residentie Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta/Cello Biënnale, North Netherlands Orchestra, Asko|Schönberg and many others.
